The rider

Built for the
moment.

His story

A second
beginning.

Armando Ayuso’s story is not a straight line. It is a comeback story, written in early mornings, second chances and a rare ability to understand the horse beneath him.

Born in Panama City and a graduate of Panama’s celebrated jockey academy tradition, Ayuso came to the United States as a teenager. After early success on the East Coast and years away from the saddle, he returned with new purpose. Northern California noticed first. Then Southern California did.

Today, he is a proven graded-stakes rider trusted by leading horsemen: composed before the break, economical through the turn and fearless when the lane opens.
